How the sand cake works

The sand cake comes from its shape where the semolina is roasted and becomes its shape as sand and placed on the face of the cake with Nestle milk, and the cake is fragile and light and its taste is very wonderful and simple ingredients are sugar, yogurt, flour, oil and others and serve the cake with tea .

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • Two glasses of white flour
  • ½Cup of roasted semolina
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp Peking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tbsp Nestle Milk

Method of preparation

  1. Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl and set aside .
  2. Put in an electric blender both sugar, yogurt, oil, eggs and vanilla and beat until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture becomes creamy .
  3. Put the mixture in a bowl, add the flour and baking powder and beat with a hand whisk until the ingredients are well combined .
  4. Grease the mold with oil, sprinkle with flour, put the cake mixture in it and put it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes .
  5. During that put the semolina in a bowl and stir until it changes color and becomes golden .
  6. We take the cake out of the oven and pierce it then pour over the cake Nestle milk and distribute it well on the face of the cake .
  7. Sprinkle semolina on the face of the cake, let it cool well and then cut it so that the sand cake is ready .
