How to make cakes with Syrian milk

Milk cakes are very tasty loved by adults and children everywhere and the way to prepare it at home is very easy and simple ingredients are flour, milk, sugar, fat and oil to taste and put in the oven until you take their beautiful golden color and wonderful crispy and served for breakfast with tea or at dinner as crackers .

  • ½Kg white flour
  • ½Cup sugar
  • 1 cup liquid milk
  • 1 cup vegetable ghee
  • ½Cup vegetable oil
  • Roasted sesame for garnish
  • 2 tsp Peking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Method of preparation

  1. Put the flour in the bowl of the dough, add salt and stir a little .
  2. Add the baking powder, oil, fat and roll out the dough until the ingredients are well combined .
  3. Put the milk and sugar in a bowl and stir until the milk sugar is completely dissolved .
  4. Gradually add the mixture to the previous ingredients while continuing to knead until we have a dough .
  5. Put the sesame in a bowl and mix with it a spoonful of sugar and water until it sticks to the cake dough .
  6. Put butter paper on the oven tray and heat the oven to a temperature of 150 .
  7. Cut the dough into equal balls, shape it to taste, soak it with sesame, then arrange in the tray, leaving a space between each .
  8. Put the tray in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until the cakes acquire a golden color .
  9. We take out the cakes and let them cool aside completely and ready to serve .
