Ingredients
- To prepare the dough of:
- 2 cups flour
- Pinch of salt
- ½Teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½Cup room temperature butter
- ½Cup lukewarm water
- To prepare the filling:
- 3 peeled and sliced apples
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon starch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- For decorating:
- Powdered sugar
- Cinnamon
Method of preparation
- Melt the butter over medium to low heat in a pan, add the chopped apples and stir for a few minutes .
- After the Apple water has dried we add sugar and stir until caramelized then add cinnamon and dissolve the starch with a little water and add it over the apples and stir well until the apples are completely soft .
- While preparing the dough, mix the flour, salt, baking powder and butter and stir until well mixed .
- Mix the sugar with lukewarm water and then add it over the rest of the ingredients and knead until we have a dough .
- Sprinkle flour on a flat surface, spread the dough on it, cut it into rectangles or to taste, distribute the filling and close tightly on all sides .
- In a deep frying pan we put the oil of Zephyr and fry in it the apple pies and then half of the oil and put in the powdered sugar and cinnamon mixture and so ready to serve .
