
Mamounia is a dessert of Syrian cuisine Halabi fast and easy to prepare and economical ingredients it is a semolina roasted with fat and then placed in the diameter and decorated with cream, pistachios and cinnamon can be served with white cheese, especially in the evening as an alternative to dinner meal and loved by children for its sweet taste and soft texture .

Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- Cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon animal fat
- ½Cup coarse semolina
- For decorating:
- ½Cup grated pistachio
- ½Can of cream
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Method of preparation
- In a deep saucepan on the fire put water, add sugar and cinnamon sticks, stir well and leave to boil to get the diameter .
- Keep in the pan margarine to melt and then on low heat, add the semolina, one with the margarine until golden brown .
- Add the semolina to the diameter and bring to a boil, stirring until the mixture boils for about five minutes .
- Leave the mixture aside for a quarter of an hour until the semolina is fully impregnated and puffed .
- Pour the mamonia into a suitable dish, decorate with cream, pistachios and ground cinnamon and ready to serve .
