
Al-warbat al-Shamiya is one of the famous sweets among the people of Damascus, and has become present in many countries with the Damascene identity always, which is a creamy and favorite sweets of all, especially since it has a distinctive shape and a wonderful taste whether it is stuffed with pistachios or cream .

Ingredients
- To prepare the dough of:
- 2 cups flour
- ½Cup lukewarm water
- 1 ½ cup starch
- 1 and 1/2 cup plumper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Pinch of salt
- To grease the dough flakes:
- ½Cup vegetable oil
- ½Cup butter
- Pistachio filling:
- 1 ½ cup pistachios
- 1 tablespoon diameter
- 1 teaspoon cast water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Cream filling:
- 1 ½ cup cream
- 1 tablespoon diameter
- 1 teaspoon cast water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- For decoration:
- ½Cup grated pistachio
Method of preparation
- Put the flour in a bowl and knead with lukewarm water, then add the starch, fat, oil and salt until the consistency of the dough becomes homogeneous and leave to rest 20 minutes .
- Divide the dough into equal balls, spread each ball and grease it with a mixture of butter and oil .
- We form from the dough after it is spread and painted groups, each set five thin layers Square in shape, or as desired, we fold each square in half to get a triangular shape .
- Halve the triangles in a tray and put them in the oven on 200 heat until they are cooked and acquire a golden color .
- We take out the tray, pour the diameter on the pieces and then leave to cool .
- We begin to stuff the worbat with either pistachio or cream, but after mixing each with the diameter, dice water and sugar, arrange them in a suitable bowl.
- Decorate the worbat with pistachio borsch and ready to serve .
