The way of making lemon and coconut cake

Lemon cake is a delicious and useful cake especially as lemon gives it a distinctive color and irresistible aroma, and with the addition of coconut the cake becomes perfect and suitable to be served on birthdays and all occasions with a cup of tea or coffee to taste .

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½Cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons coconut
  • Sprinkle 1 lemon
  • Lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Almond beads for decoration as desired

Method of preparation

  1. Mix whites with a pinch of salt, vanilla and sugar until melt the ingredients well .
  2. Add the grated lemon and gradually pour the oil while continuing to whisk .
  3. Add lemon juice and yogurt and whisk the liquid ingredients .
  4. Put the baking powder and coconut in the flour bowl, stir them and then start adding these dry ingredients to the liquid ingredients gradually and beat well until they become homogeneous .
  5. Pour the mixture into the bayrex bowl or cake tray and decorate with almonds and enter the oven shortly after warming it at 180 heat for 25 minutes .
  6. We remove the cake from the oven and it is ready to serve .
