How to make the Hijazi arika dough

This recipe is characterized by the wonderful taste of the southern Arika Hijaz which consists of flour, salt, fat and dates and therefore all the ingredients are in the house as it is easy and quick to prepare .

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 ½ cup lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable plumper
  • For decorating:
  • 2 tbsp vegetable plumper
  • 6 pass beads
  • 2 tbsp honey

Method of preparation

  1. We protect the oven to a temperature of 180 C .
  2. Put in a deep bowl both flour, lukewarm water and salt, knead the ingredients well and then let them rest aside for an hour .
  3. Put the dough in a tray and then oven for 15 minutes, then remove and let cool .
  4. Put 2 tbsp fat in a nylon bag, put the dough in it and rub it with fat until the dough becomes soft and soft .
  5. Put the dough in a serving dish, make a gap in the middle, decorate with honey, dates and fat .
