Cold is a normal and harmless condition for the upper respiratory section, nose, throat, but symptoms are as annoying as golan, coughing and sneezing, larynx pain, and high temperature. Treatment for cold takes between 7 and 10 days, and these symptoms can easily be alleviated using honey. 

How does honey contribute to cough therapy?

Honey contains natural properties that help cure cold and cough, including:

Antioxidants, bacteria, antimicrobial properties that resist viruses, bacteria and fungi, protect against cold and its underlying symptoms.
_It also helps to soften the throat naturally, soothe irritation, and enhances immunity that relieves cold and protects against future influenza and other viruses.

How do you use honey to treat cough?

1. Honey and cinnamon

Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties, oxidation, bacteria, viruses and fungi, effective in protecting against cold.
Mix a tablespoon of lukewarm honey with a quarter teaspoon of ground cinnamon, eating it two or three times a day, for 3 days, and you can add honey and cinnamon to fruit salads, warm water, fresh juice, tea and more.

2. Eat honey alone regularly

Regular consumption of honey will help treat cold, its symptoms, and other health problems.
Take a tablespoon of honey when you feel cold or cough, and honey and lemon juice can be added to tea or warm water if you don't like it alone.

3. Gargling with honey

Honey gargle relieves larynx pain and helps the body get rid of the cold quickly.
Mix a tablespoon of blackberry leaves or lemon juice with 2 cups of warm water, add a teaspoon of honey and leave to cool at room temperature, then gargle with the solution.

4. Honey with onions

Cut a red onion into slices, and boil with honey and a little sugar. Leave them all night, then take a teaspoon of it in the morning, and repeat this process more than once whenever needed.

5. Honey with lemon and ginger

Get an 8-ounce jar and throw in lemon slices, 1.5 ginger heads, mix and apply enough honey until the jar is full. Leave the mixture for a few hours, add a teaspoon or two of it to warm water and drink, and keep the jar in the fridge for future consumption.

6. Honey and cinnamon tea

Honey with cinnamon suppresses cough, which allows you to spend a better night's sleep with cold symptoms.
Add half to 3 teaspoons of cinnamon crust to a glass of water for five minutes, then remove the crust and put 2 teaspoons of honey and mix well.
