The causes of too much sleep and lethargy in the body are numerous, often the causes are transient and other times the cause is organic and needs to be followed up by a doctor.

Severe depression, postpartum depression, premenstrual syndrome, mood swings caused by taking medications, drugs, alcohol, and smoking.
When does lethargy call for medical care?
When Hemiplegia of the face, chest pain, inability to move limbs unilaterally to the body, confusion of not knowing the date, name, or place, impaired perception and response, rapid heartbeat, rectal bleeding, severe headache, shortness of breath or blood with vomiting, these symptoms can be accompanied by behavioral changes requiring medical attention.
Lethargy in infants
Children may become lethargic and require immediate medical attention including :
- Sudden ras.
- Difficulty getting up and active.
- Fever over 38 degrees Celsius.
- Vomiting strongly or its continuation for more than 12 hours.
- Symptoms of dehydration such as dry mouth, crying without tears, or a little moisture exit.
Treatment of lethargy
The main treatment of lethargy is based on the diagnosis of the disease-causing it after consulting a doctor, but in general, the following tips should be followed to relieve the symptoms :
- Eat healthy food.
- Drink daily need of fluids.
- Get enough sleep
- Take care of mental health and stay away from stress and anxiety by practicing yoga, deep breathing, and exercise.
- Daily exercise for morning walks, preferably before sunrise to increase the body with pure energy oxygen.
